i'm in the market for a web hosting company for a targeted market publication and have been looking into 4 places and would appreciate some feedback on their pros and cons from those here who have worked with them.

the companies i've been looking at are town news, media span, 1up and been (block electronic news network).

    gracias.

Have experience with 1up. It's simple and user friendly but fairly limited. We're switching to Town News in the near future because they're customizing a CMS for our company that's supposed to streamline things between print and online, which is something 1up can't even fathom doing.

If you're looking for something that's online-only and easy to use (and easy to train others to use), we've had no qualms with 1up. It's fairly easy to master once you learn the basics because you can teach yourself the details without being a whiz. Couldn't tell you how it compares to the others on your list.
