I really liked that movie. Ralph Macchio, JoBeth Williams... Granted, I don't think I've watched it since I was in junior high. :)

I just IMBD'd both of them. I've seen a sum total of two movies: Hitch and The 40 Year Old Virgin. Meh. Not my genre.

More of an action and drama kind of person myself.

Never seen the TV show, either.

So is my father, ha. And he doesn't know who Rogen is. Then again, he doesn't know how to use a printer or send a text.

Rogen has been in some solid movies, like Superbad, Knocked Up, Pineapple Express, Observe and Report. He was also on Freaks and Geeks.

Just for shits and giggles (and maybe to catch KJIM up ;)), here are the stars in the current top 10 at the box office.

    1. Cars 2. Cartoon; voices of Owen Wilson and Larry the Cable Guy.

    2. Bad Teacher. Cameron Diaz, Jason Segel and Justin Timberlake.

    3. The Green Lantern. Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively.

    4. Super 8. Elle Fanning.

    5. Mr. Popper's Penguins. Jim Carrey.

    6. X-Men: First Class. James McAvoy.

    7. The Hangover, Part II. Bradley Cooper, Zach Galifianakis and Ed Helms. (Highest total gross of the current top 10.)

    8. Bridesmaids. Kristen Wiig, Maya Rudolph and Melissa McCarthy.

    9. Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides. Johnny Depp and Penelope Cruz.

    10. Kung Fu Panda 2. Cartoon; voices of Jack Black and Angelina Jolie.

    ****

So, a lot of these movies aren't even being "carried" by movie stars.

I think Rogen has had enough successful movies to deserve to be on this list, but I don't see him playing characters that don't fall into the stoner/slacker category.

As for Galiafanakis, I don't see him having any commercial success playing anyone other than a variation of the "Alan" character from Hangover.

Eric Bana is a bigger star than Kevin James.

Because an actor will not overexpose himself, make crap and/or makes his parts (mostly) count should not be penalizing.

I know a few ladies who think Ryan Reynolds is a star.

But for the purposes of this, it does. Most definitely.

I have no idea who Eric Bana even is.

I think Ryan Reynolds is everything.

Once again, you're getting actor and movie star confused. The list of 24 biggest movie stars and 24 best actors would be pretty damn different. Depp would be on both. DiCaprio would be on both. Pitt might be. Bridges would be on both. Downey would be on both. Damon maybe.

Eric Bana should have been a huge star. Same as Josh Lucas. I don't know whet happened there...

    What about McConaughey?

Again: Meh. Just doesn't appeal to me.
