We Canadians can't say we are fully bilingual?

Sorry, not dissing Trudeau. Rex Murphy and I are the only ones on the universe who think Trudeau was the Greatest Canadian...

What about Mulroney? Can I blame him for this?

Why is this so surprising to you? Get out of Halifax much?

    Anyway,

    Les Canadiens sont egoistes....

(I just wanted to say this for the fun of it)

Anyway, what, CSC? Afraid to answer the question? Let me fill you in ... Newfies don't care ... B.C. speaks Mandarin and doesn't care ... Alberta? Fuck Quebec ... Bilingualism is as unnecessary as a CFL team in the Maritimes.

    Get over it.

BC also speaks punjabi, French is way down the list.
I can't believe anybody is actually shocked by this.

Christ, we have 200 different languages spoken on our campus. I can imagine there are as many on the Lower Mainland.

People can learn all the French they want. They'll still get lost in Richmond.

You need a passport to get into Richmond.

I was in Montreal and cursed by a shop keeper for not speaking French. When I told them, with several curse words, that I'm American, they apologized profusely.

    How very American of you.

British people are generally the same. Don't bother to learn the language of the place you're going, and then get uppity when they criticize you. I'm very proud to have learnt French, German and Italian.

This person thought I was Canadien and told me, "Why don't you speak French. What the fuck is your problem?"
Those were the wrong words to say to an American spending his hard-earned cash.
