Ways to save money in tough economic times

    Costco, coupons and sales. An extra freezer in the garage helps out ton.

    Just go minimalist and take some pride in it. Have a tag sale and weed "things" out of your life then think twice before you buy more "stuff" that you don't really need. This will have the added benefit of keeping your basement, attic, garage, storage closets free of clutter. Plus, your kids will say nice things about you after you die and they're stuck cleaning out your home.

    (Though I did spend a little scratch on an authentic jersey for myself recently. Hey ... holiday shopping was already done. :))
