That's as funny as it gets. I now miss Rick's old avatar. And NFL threads.

I thought it'd be fun to put my real picture as my avatar anywhere I post online and see if it changes how I interact, testing the old "It's easy to be a jerk behind a computer screen" idea. So far, it's still pretty easy.

Yeah, methinks IBM doesn't have this glorified infomercial without assurances that this would be a serious ass-kicking.

I didn't see the entire three days, but were there any "exotic" categories like Before & After or Common Bonds or other Jeopardy-ese? I know the Watson shows weren't "easy", per se, but maybe there could have been better ways to trick the computer up.

Yep, my cynic meter was redlining big-time, especially since I only saw Tuesday's demolition.

You're braver than the rest of us. But YGBFKM will still make robot jokes. :D

Human wins, 57-4. If I send a screencap to IBM, will they mail me a totally cool patch for my achievement?

There was a ridiculous category on music science or music theory one of the nights.

Jennings is the guy who would go to town on the categories nobody knew shit about -- opera, Chinese poets, advanced botany, etc. That was fairly startling. Watson knowing all about hedgehogs, not so much.

More from Ken Jennings on playing Watson:

I saw this post twice and I laughed out loud both times.

Until Watson can make the final round on Wipeout, I'm still feeling good about the future of humans on TV.
