I did. Two screens totally packed. Most seemed to enjoy it. But of course that was the choir watching at midnight. I liked it. I have read the comics in the past, though years after they were published. Don't really remember everything that happened so I wasn't one who wanted to see everything acted out on the screen. Just wanted to see a good movie. It's solid. Very violent. And the most naked people you'll ever see in a comic-book movie -- even if a lot of the naked is a giant blue Billy Crudup avatar.

Pretty sure it's a Saturday/Sunday matinee for me.

I heard the movie was long, but didn't know it stretches over 2 days!

Heh. Let's amend that to Saturday or Sunday.

The top screen at the top theater around here is sold out for the weekend with the exception of early morning shows.

I'm not that excited about it, but I know I'll see it at some point.

It's good. I went in expecting worse. TSP, you're right that you can't gauge how good it is by the crowd. I was at the second of three screens — all packed with fanboys like me.

A friend whose opinion I respect just saw it and said, visually it's fantastic, but the plot and storyline is awful.

I didn't read the comic book(s?), so I took the movie on its own merits. I never lost interest and thought it was delightfully misanthropic. The storyline wasn't a priority because I liked the characters.

Those of you who have seen it, did you catch what Neil Armstrong said as he stepped off the lunar lander? "Good luck Mr. Gorsky."

    LOL
