Was it the gambling, Juanita Jordan?

After seeing the made-for-TV "Michael Jordan: An American Hero", an inspiring love story with Robin Givens as Juanita, I won't believe any of these lies.

I was enticed to rent out a porno DVD this year, but my common sense told me otherwise. I will not make that same mistake in 2007 with Kylie Ireland and Briana Banks. :)

holy fuck, is it possible for you to keep politics out of any thread?

Lantaur, Fenian can do this because, in the words of Bill Clinton, he can.

That's what happens when you are a veteran of this site and have carte blanche.

A resolution for 2007 is to keep politics over on the other board and keep this one sports pure.

Kylie Ireland is mondo hot goodness. I don't care how many guys she's done, I'd still rather have her than Juanita Jordan. Not that I have a shot with either one, I admit, I'm just saying. :)

Can't WAIT to hear Ahmad Rashad on this... "Its her fault!!! Michael did nothing!!!! I know because I was... never mind..."

  9. I didn't inject politics into this one.
And, yes, I tried to find a different word from "inject" there and am sorry I couldn't.
I was still stunned by the notion of a movie called "Face Jam."

This is the first thing I thought as well, BH. Can't WAIT to hear this.

Plus, MJ's desire to own a team just went Buh - Bye. He was griping to Stern before about wanting to get a sweetheart deal on a franchise. Stern is sitting in his office going "Phew" when he heard this news. Imagine if MJ owned the Bucks, e.g., and then this came down? Stern having to financially rescue the greatest player in the history of the game? I think we can safely say that MJ will never own a team now unless he partners up with Magic or others, and even then, there's no way Magic would give controlling interest/decisionmaking to MJ.

So this is what we've been left with, sadly, for MJ's legacy in the last few years: Missed breakaway All-Star dunks, Kwame Brown #1 pick, would-be hagiographers like Wilbon refusing to read excellent, HONEST books on their hero, Abe Polian effectively taking MJ to the rack for a rim-rattling dunk by not rehiring him to Wizards management, and now Juanita basically beating MJ 21-3 in a game of 21, to the tune of like $200 MM.

MJ was likely the greatest b-ball player ever, but that's where the greatness ends. Awful front office executive. Not smart about picking his wife (all he had to do was ask Reggie Theus). Gambling 'issues.' For a guy as intelligent as he is, he does not seem to think things through well. He never saw the Polian move coming. And he 'renegotiated' his pre-nup with Golddiggin' Juanita just a couple of years into the contract. Sad stuff for a legend.

As "Republican's buy shoes, too", so do ex-wives often split previous net worths.

So the man whom the NBA has been dying to hand a franchise over to takes two gigantic steps back from that ever becoming a reality.

    Spin that, Wilbon.

Polian and Juanita both now hold the rare advantage that few of MJ's opponents ever could declare:

    'Scoreboard.'

  11. With the exception of a court case, why are athlete/celebrities divorces and sex lives news? I honestly am getting tired of all of it.

Will the Sun-Times finally run the story on Jordan's backstage antics it suppressed a few years back, having gotten cold feet when Falk told the paper it would be cut off from access to Jordan if it ran? Holding my breath .... not.
