Wanted: It's the movie the Wachoski Brothers could only dream to make!

    Just saw Wanted.

Fantastic -- might even eclipse Iron Man as my favorite movie of the summer (In Bruges still has the year's top spot).

James McAvoy is The Man (once you see it, you'll get the joke).

Script is so-so, acting other than Mc so-so (there's really no acting to be had, including Angelina) but the visuals? Unprecedented --especially the action sequences. Makes The Matrix look like a Dragnet episode circa 1967.

    Go see it. Friday night.

Oh, I'm so there, but you knew that, what with Angie being in it and all.

I'm seeing this Friday afternoon. Read the series when it came out way long ago. Effects look spectacular.

I thought the Wachowski Brothers (at least one of them) dreamed of making Tootsie.

Has Angelina Jolie ever been in a good movie?

Yes. Girl Interrupted, Gia, A Mighty Heart, The Good Shepherd, etc.

I didn't think of 'The Good Shepherd.' Good point.
That was a good movie, although too long.

There have a been a lot of movies lately that were good, but would have been even better if they'd been 15 minutes shorter. It's an unfortunate trend.

Foxfire is a really good one that nobody has seen.

She was amazing in Gia and Girl, Interrupted. I was surprised she didn't get a nomination for A Mighty Heart.
