Anybody, back in the day, ever buy anything through their catalog?

It was a family owned organic foods company that produced a wide line of products, including soups, sauces, grains and baked goods. Damned good stuff.

I'd forgotten about them until running across a copy of the catalog in a box of junk.

So I go on Teh Internets and discover ... they're gone, mostly.

The name is used on a small line of products and the first generation of the family, true pioneers in the organic movement, is all dead. Turns out, the real Walnut Acres Farms went out of business – after 50-odd years – after the family decided to sell out to a Big Company, etc. etc., rinse, repeat.

    Sad.
