Walmart: Black Barbie is cheaper than White Barbie

This "story" was a photo taken of the discounted black Barbies and posted on humor sites. Not exactly a New York Times investigation.

However, racism or not, there are really sad studies done where black children will choose white dolls over black dolls and say that the black dolls are ugly.

It's the image they are fed.

Yeah, and then it became a news story on ABCNews.com, including an emailed response from a Wal*Mart spokesperson.

So, I guess the editors over at ABC are getting their story ideas from random humor websites.
