Oh, and by the way, I hadn't even thought of doing an April Fools lede for one of my two games tomorrow (oh, wait, today). Now I will have to incorporate it.

I thought they were going to hold onto that 9-4 lead. How silly of me.

I'm sad that the Favorite Fart Stories thread didn't catch fire.

Yeah, but that's different. It's GOOD.

This? Not so much, and they run it on Page 1 every year. Their sports department doesn't take part, but then again, they don't have a local column...

I thought those kind of articles were reserved for high school newspapers. And they're usually funnier there.

So far today, the award-winner for me is the oblivious blowhard who writes Pro Football Talk. He wrote a bit this morning about Jason Taylor retiring, which some reporters took seriously, and now he's celebrating his wittiness.
The reporters should have know the item wasn't serious, he says, because it was so gosh-darn FUNNY.
    yeah.

And now, my posting problem, alluded to in another thread, won't allow me to change "know" to "known" in the previous offering. So sorry about the typo, I tried to fix it
