The guy who started the obsessive Oval Office jock-sniffing. There were isolated instances before that (Taft at a baseball game in 1912), but Nixon made it routine and eventually obligatory.

You'd think at some point in the interim, some Dem would have squatted to take a hot dumping shit all over the tradition, saying, "I'm here to fuckin' work, not shake pom-poms," and specifically take a nice potshot at Nixon in the process.

Yet Obama seems to be doubling up on it.

Obama glad-handing for an hour every few months, which is what it amounts to, with a national champion isn't the end of the world.

Seems like the NFL caved a bit too early and a bit too easy on this one -- I wonder if it's a favor in hopes that Washington types return the favor and reduce the heat in Congress about ending the blackout rule.
