    Terrible thread title. No idea what this was about until I poked in here. I thought it was a How I Met Your Mother thread (though this would be the wrong place for it).

    Maybe right before the first pitch Wednesday, Carlos Ruiz can march into the dugout and tag Holliday, and the Phillies can win the series by default. This thread is going nowhere, unless it somehow morphs into a Charlie Brown type thread.

    I liked the way Troy Renck of the Denver Post mentioned it, pretty far down in his story, today, "Legend will say he missed home plate - as text messages and TV commentators suggested." Details.

    Michael Barrett did a great job blocking the plate and could have tagged Holliday after retrieving the ball, but Tim McClelland just missed the call.

    Before anyone suggests it, no, instant replay isn't the answer. Human error is a big part of sports.
