When it comes to Vince Young and his finances I do think there is a bit of racism involved in judging him. Mark Brunell burned through 50 mil and many just excused it that Mark "is too trusting"

David Garrard having spent all pre season at Dolphin camp would be in the best shape.

Seems to me that's the OPPOSITE of what should happen.

Like people who lived through the Depression (or had parents who did and taught them the value of a dollar), these people KNOW what it's like to have little or nothing and should be spending (pun not intended) every ounce of energy they have to ensure they never go back there.

Have you not gone out and bought a new toy any time you've gotten a pay increase?

What is this "pay increase" you speak of?

Buying a toy is one thing. Buying out FAO Schwarz is something else.

Today's pay raise could be tomorrow's pink slip.

If Young only got a 6 on the Wonderlic, what specific questions did he get wrong?

Racism and stupidity. Many athletes, Black and white, burn through money like drunken sailors. They don't think about tomorrow until it comes.

Recent studies have shown that 47 percent of people would feel no need to save or plan for tomorrow.

Too many have taken to hear the lyrics from that Social Distortion song "Reach for the Sky"

When I was young I was invincible
I found myself not thinking twice
I never thought about no future
It's just a roll of the dice

But the day may come when you got something to lose
And just when you think you're done paying dues
You say to yourself "Dear, God What have I Done?"
And hope its not too late cause tomorrow may never come

Reach for the sky cause tomorrow may never come
Reach for the sky cause tomorrow may never come
