You'll get to work with one of my former EIC who's a sports design wiz. Minneapolis is a great town (if you like the cold, that is). Plus, the light rail is a nice way to commute around.

This is usually a highly competitive beat. The Pioneer Press has sent writers to The Denver Post and the Sun-Times in recent years and the Strib sent Seifert to ESPN and now Judd leaving has to be a big blow to the paper. Not to knock the other guys on the beat, but Judd was the one breaking a lot of the news on the Favre watch last year and I think he broke Childress getting canned as well.

Call the Green Bay kid. He's gotta be tired of that place by now anyway.

If the Vikings like they let you go on the cruise ship rides for some in-depth reporting.

Hmmm, job listing has been pulled from the APSE site.

No matter what, the odds that the person who gets this job has a name as cool as "Judd Zulgad" are incredibly slim.

    Great reporter. Great guy.

  12. If it hasn't been filled yet, this sounds like a great job.
