    Video Reporter/Producer

    Job Summary
    The Video Reporter/Producer will be responsible for creating broadcast caliber content for distribution through a variety of internal and external channels. The position requires providing coverage and on-camera reporting of digital content for the University of Michigan Athletics Department and its 31 varsity sports programs as directed by the Senior Associate Athletic Director. The content will be distributed on our venues' video boards, MGoBlue.com, television shows, digital newsletters and social media networks. Content offerings will range from event coverage to providing human interest stories of our student-athletes and coaches.

    Responsibilities*
    1. Report on sporting competitions and provide coverage of our athletic department activities covering over 900 student-athletes.
    2. A broad thinker with a good understanding of college athletics.
    3. Implement versions of produced content for various purposes.
    4. Write articles for various Athletic Department publications as well as website blogging.
    5. Perform voice-over work as assigned.
    6. Video editing and camera operation capabilities are preferred.
    7. In-venue hosting might be required.

    Required Qualifications*
    1. Bachelor's degree in Communications, Radio, Television or Journalism.
    2. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
    3. Five years of video reporting experience with a collegiate or professional sports program or broadcast network.

    Desired Qualifications*
    1. Mid to major market sports reporter, minimum 5 years of experience.
    2. Video editing and camera operating abilities.
    3. Studio experience hosting feature programs.
    4. Understanding of the University of Michigan sports landscape.

    Additional Information
