According to court documents filed by federal authorities earlier this month, dogfights have been sponsored by "Bad Newz Kennels" at the property since at least 2002. For the events, participants and dogs traveled from South Carolina, North Carolina, Maryland, New York, Texas and other states.

Fifty-four pit bulls were recovered from the property during searches in April, along with a "rape stand," used to hold dogs in place for mating; an electric treadmill modified for dogs; and a bloodied piece of carpeting, the documents said.

During a June search of the property, investigators uncovered the graves of seven pit bulls that were killed by members of ``Bad Newz Kennels'' following sessions to test whether the dogs would be good fighters, the documents alleged.

Members of "Bad Newz Kennels" also sponsored and exhibited fights in other parts of Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Maryland, New Jersey and other states, according to the filings.

On Vick's Web site, he lists his birthplace as Newport News, "a.k.a. BadNews."

    no twitching here ...

What is there to say? Vick is a moron. the herpes, the weed at the airport, the middle finger ... he's been in a downward spiral for years and this should do him in.

The guy had a nice little run as an NFL quarterback, but never got to the super bowl and will never be more than a cautionary tale

Tomlinson, Dwight, Caldwell and Cody for Vick.

Appears the Chargers made out OK on that one.

Mike Vick is teflon. He's beaten herpes allegations and he'll beat this too.

This is the part that's even the sycophants are going to have a tough time stomaching long enough to defend him...

    83. In or about April 2007, PEACE, PHILLIPS, and VICK executed approximately 8 dogs that did not perform well in "testing" sessions at 1915 Moonlight Road by various methods, including hanging, drowning, and slamming at least one dog's body to the ground.

I think it is worth noting that it was a Federal Grand Jury that did him in. Nothing on the local level was ever filed.

In an "unrelated" note, we still do not know who bought his house, do we?

I think the surface of this case is only being scratched. I fear that this will be a step below steroids in size and scope of athletes. That is still pretty damn big.

I could be wrong, but thought there was something in the agreement with the NFLPA about first offenders not being punished without legal due process. That was my point. Again, could be wrong.
And the details in the indictment are revolting. Who raises their child to torture animals like that?

“We are disappointed that Michael Vick has put himself in a position where a federal grand jury has returned an indictment against him,” NFL spokesman Brian McCarthy said.
“The activities alleged are cruel, degrading and illegal. Michael Vick’s guilt has not yet been proven, and we believe that all concerned should allow the legal process to determine the facts.”

Just went to that site, also said his favorite pets: Dogs and birds.
    His favorite movie.... Life.
He also ran a 4.1 40 and has feet as fast as Barry Sanders, and an arm as strong and accurate as Dan Marino.
