Mort says people with the Falcons are "shocked and stunned" that Vick was indicted.

And that stuff about Vick drowning and hanging dogs who didn't fare well in fights in the indictment should result in some local animal cruelty charges as well.

It'll be interesting to see what the NFL commish will do regarding the indictment. It's pretty damning, but Vick still deserves legal due process if he's not a repeat offender.
And it'll be interesting to see what Selig will do if/when a certain baseball player is indicted. The difference is, Selig will be battling a players' association with teeth.

Why is human nature such that people who end up "having it all", either by sheer luck, or talent and luck, do their level best to screw themselves?

Oh, right. Most people aren't very smart, and money don't make you smarter.

Vick is seeking to get traded to the Nash Correctional Institution near Raleigh North Carolina. His people feel that having Rae Caruth to throw to will make him 1st team Felon in his rookie year.

Clinton Portis. Not on that grand jury.

He deserves due process ... but Pacman, technically, hasn't been found guilty on any of the charges he's faced, and he could never see the field this season. You almost wonder whether Goodell would make an example of Vick because he's facing felony charges, because he's one of the few the NFL trusted to be the face of the league.

Was Ron Mexico named anywhere in the indictment?
The three other defendants listed are Purnell A. Peace, also known as “P-Funk” and “Funk,” Quanis L. Phillips, known as “Q” , and Tony Taylor, known as “T.” According to the documents filed Tuesday, Vick went by the nickname “Ookie.”
He deserves Due Process by the government and the Federal District Court in Virginia will provide it as the government cannot take one's life liberty or property without due process.
At best, the NFL Commissioner's Office may provide Vick notice of any action it intends to take and an opportunity to be heard.

An indefinite suspension pending the outcome of a trial is warranted.

What would happen to you, at your place of employment, should you be indicted for a similar offense?
