He'll still be in jail when the 2008 season ends. He's not playing in 2009 either... of '10 or '11 or '12.

If his probation doesn't prohibit him from playing in the NFL and he serves his time, can the NFL ban him and have it survive a lawsuit?

Does he get a 3 for 1 "doorbuster" sentence discount for starting early?

I know if the NFL likely suspends Vick, he should go somewhere and play, whether its Canada or Italy or Germany. Eating the humble pie is part of the road to redemption. Plus once a couple scouts see what he can do, there will be a lot more pressure on the league to allow him back in early.

The CFL recently passed a rule that players suspended by the NFL are not eligible to play in the CFL.

What football leagues are there in Italy or Germany?

He can get in line behind Jeff George!

Now starting for the Stuttgart Scorpions of the German Football League, Michael Vick!

Except for the Falcons, Vick isn't missed in the NFL. Want to watch a QB run? Check out Vince Young.

If Vick was smart, he would've not posted bail and stayed in a cushy (by comparison) jail, and he likely would've gotten credit for time served and less time in PMITA prison.

If Vick was smart, he would have spent his leisure time on the golf course, on the back of a bass boat or on South Beach instead of at the dogfighting pit.

    There's that.
