    Lou Diamond Phillips.

Melissa Etheridge and her old partner, Juli Cypher (maybe), formerly married to Lou.

I think it's Richie Valens on top, and Melissa Ethridge and some chick in sunglasses on the bottom.

I'm sure it's entertaining enough to read. And I don't expect a lot of people to invest the time; like I said, I probably wouldn't. Also, I expect people to cut jokes. This is, after all, sportsjournalists.com. It's part of the reason I enjoy using the board so much.

I'll start writing after I finish my work today. I'll do my best to write my tale before I leave for a wedding Thursday.

If the ending doesn't include boy moving on because girl is always going to be flakey, then it sounds like it won't have a happy ending.

That's the thing ... there is no ending right now -- maybe. No more details. I'll be back later.

If you get the time, mike311gd, read a story in this week's The New Yorker, toward the back, in regards to the writer telling the story of a question about "vanishing" and the movie "Open Range" with Costner, Duval and Bening, and see if there's any correlation to your story.
