Vertical gardening

    Anyone have any experience with vertical gardening? In my new tropical locale, I have a small porch that might be suited for a little salad garden. It's hot here -- above 90 each day -- with a great deal of humidity and rain throughout the summer into mid fall.

    What kind of structures have you used? What kind of veggies have you grown in small containers?

    Check out Ask This Old House online. The show recently did a segment on vertical gardening. Sorry no link. I might update when on computer.

    It was about hydroponic growing, but they put in a vertical garden. Sorry. I think I was confusing that segment with another short segment in which they discussed those cylinders that you can use to grow.
