Vernon Forrest RIP

    I have a friend who sparred with him once (He also sparred with Arturo Gatti). I covered his first fight with Serrgio Mora and I interviewed him once. He was a pain in the ass to interview, but it was probably more my fault than his.
    By all accounts, a decent guy.

    Amazing that we have lost some of these people this year, while David Crosby, Ali and Keith Richards, and Abe Vigoda.... soldier on.

    What a year this has been, in regard to those who have passed, both in sports and mainstream.

    I think the last quote in that story was attributed to the wrong guy. If Gatti actually commented on Forrest's death, that's a huge story in itself.
