Vegas Sports Books/Free Drinks

I've seen it hinted at in some of the Vegas threads, but since a bit of time has passed since the most recent update, I was wondering if anyone can shine a light on whether there are sports books in Vegas that serve free drinks to bettors.

I have a trip planned for Super Bowl weekend (Thursday to Tuesday) and was hoping to find a place to set up shop the Saturday beforehand and bet and enjoy a nice amount of pops while I'm at it.

Any help anyone can provide would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I haven't been in a few years, but the last time I was there, all sports books had free drinks.

Palms did last time I was there. Caesars, too.

Go up to place a bet, ask for a drink voucher (if they don't give you one already.)

I think they may have gotten tight on them in some places. I was @ Mandalay Bay on a football weekend 2 months ago and there weren't free drinks. For some reason, if you had a valid bet on a horse race, it got you a free beer, but even a friend who was making some very big bets on football games had to pay for his drinks.

This just applies to the Sportsbook, though. I have never sat at a blackjack table in my life, so I don't know.

In my one trip to Vegas I found free drinks to be vastly overrated. It always seemed like you had to play for an hour to get anything. No matter how busy it was, it would take the waitress forever to come over and ask and she never hung around if you were in the middle of a hand or something. Then, I swear it was like she went to LA to pick the drinks up. Half the time we would have already moved on, or be left just standing there, finished playing but determined to actually see this free drink.

I watched a lot of the NCAA Tournament and some of the NIT at the MGM sports book once and got rather unsober on free Red Bull-Vodkas. They just kept 'em coming. All night. Good people, they are. :)

Sometimes varies with the quality of the casino. Place a $5 bet downtown, ask for a drink ticket and ye shall receive. Do the same at some of the best joints on the Strip and you'll get laughed at.

Btw, one of the best new places in town to watch and bet a game is Emeril Lagasse's restaurant/sportsbook at the Palazzo. Check it out if you're near there.

No way. Not since the economy got flushed down the toilet. I went in March and this is what I found...

    - Caesar's --- 1 free drink per $300 of bets.
-Planet Hollywood - 1 free drink per $50 of bets.
    -Flamingo --- no free drinks.

The best way is to get your bets, and go sit at the bar and play dollar blackjack... the drinks will be half off.

We watched the Final Four this year at the Palazzo, sitting at the video Blackjack bar for about seven hours and drank top shelf for free all night. (Not including tips, of course.)

A lot don't any more. Luxor does not. Last time I was at Caesars, they did not. Some race books will while sports book does not.

    Call ahead.

  11. My boss goes twice a year and sits exclusively at a sports book. He drinks free all damn day.
I'll ask where he goes, but it is no place super fancy.

Fuck. I was there the weekend before, stayed at Caesar's, placed $500 in bets and got 1 free drink (but did see Pete Rose in the sports book). Meanwhile, played 20 minutes of video blackjack at a bar next to the book and got 3 free drinks. Strong ones.

Knew I shoulda gone to the ManBay. But then again, as was noted in an earlier thread, that weekend Tiger.Vols.Had.The.Best.Weekend.Ever so I can't complain.
