When I was there in October, I signed up for a Hooters players card and got $200 in free slot play and free show tickets. Never heard of Bobby Slayton before but he was funny as hell.

I'm not going to knock Hooters - for location, I'd rather stay there than the Strat. At least it's close to action on the Strip.

I also love downtown, not going to lie. The hubs and I had a blast visiting downtown/Fremont during our last trip, and actually are debating spending a night at the Golden Nugget when we go next month.

Gutter, my Wisconsinite friend, I'll be there the same weekend at the Riviera. Non-stop flight out of Appleton, three nights hotel ran us $320.

Just got back from there -- went specifically with a bunch of buddies of mine for the first and second rounds, and it was awesome. F'ing Pitt cost me a good deal of money. So did craps.

We stayed at the Monte Carlo for relatively cheap ($70 for three nights total) but then again that's because we crammed nine into two rooms and also drove there. So I guess that's my recommendation: go with lots and lots of people and split the costs as many ways as you can.

Nugget has the best standard rooms, downtown . . . not even close.

    Friday-Tuesday on Final Four weekend for me ... $188 w/taxes, non-stop.

Helped that I booked it back in November. :D
