Why are so many of you checking out license plates when you're driving?

Or if things go sour with said Mike.

Come to think of it, those plates probably have a longer shelf life on Mike's car than on Mrs. Mike's car.

    Added (bonus) questions:

    6) What is a licence plate? Does it go on the centre of your car?

    7) Where are license plates made? In the old days, the story was they were produced in prisons. Is that still true or has it ever been?

License plates are dished out by your local MVA, these are the folks that spawn cafeteria ladies and crossing guards. They obviously made a mistake.

I'll take vanity plates over the mouth breathers who dangle fake scrotums from the back bumper of their pick-up truck any day of the week.

Not always. I had assumed my mother-in-law's name, Judy, was short for Judith.

Well, you know what happens when you assume. It was made clear to me, a wee bit pointedly, that her name is, in fact, Judy. Not short for anything, especially not Judith.

And don't get the wrong idea. My mother-in-law is a great lady. She just doesn't like being called Judith.
