This occurred to me after, within an hour, "Panama" and "Right Here, Right Now" played on the local FM oldies station.

    Thoughts?

Alright, I'm one of the biggest Van Halen fanboys who ever lived.

I'm going with Van Hagar. I love the early stuff, but I was a little young to catch on with it. I first fell in love with the band watching "Live Without A Net." And they are a MUCH better live band with Hagar than Roth, who can't sing worth shit live. I don't know what he sounded like in his youth or around 1984, but from the late 80s on he has been terrible.

Some of the Hagar stuff has grown on me ... but I'm DLR all the way.
