Van drags man 17 miles without driver realizing it

    I don't even know how to process this one. Guy gets hit by a car. The driver calls 911 to report this, but...the body is gone. Why? Because the body is being dragged from Queens to Coney Island underneath some dude's van.

    To be fair, the van wouldn't know it's dragging a body. It's not a sentient being.

    Heard this on the radio and saw it on the news earlier tonight.
    Although they didn't say it, the first guy has to be facing some kind of criminal charges for leaving the scene. He thinks he hits someone and instead of stopping to check, just calls 911 and keeps going.
    The second guy, even after people flagged him down telling him he was dragging someone, he stopped, didn't see anything and kept going. Only after he reached his destination did he see the mangled body.
    Police say they don't know if the victim was dead or not after the first car hit him so right now they're just calling it a terrible accident.
