USOC PR staffer sent home from Brazil

    From MSNBC story:

    "The picture showed USOC media employee Kevin Neuendorf in front of the whiteboard with the phrase, and the story quoted him as saying it was written because "it's really hot in Rio.''

    "O Globo expressed doubt about the reason, noting that it was winter in Rio and the USOC office had air conditioning."

    Ummmm ... The forecast for TONIGHT is a LOW of 70 with 94 percent humidity. Yeah ... the fact it's winter dispels all comparisons to the Congo (where it's also winter).

    The other woman in "Rio" -- Michelle Johnson -- was once married to former Giants/Indians/Diamondbacks 3B Matt Williams.

    Natasha Henstridge was also great in a "South Park" cameo.

    There was a time when the USOC took into account attendance at events such as the (late, lamented by me) U.S. Olympic Festival and the Pan Ams when haggling for Olympic credentials.

    Now? I have no idea.
