I hope I am not committing a d_b here, but I saw this for the first time and couldn't believe my eyes.

The United States Football League is (going to try) coming back in 2010.

I lived in the Tampa area the first time around and although I did not see the Bandits play in person, I did see Washington and Philadelphia at a HS stadium in Winter Haven, FL in a preseason game.

Just can't believe anyone would want to resurrect it, even if there are still people who remember it fondly.

With all the other aspiring (and probably likely to crash-and-burn) leagues being created, why try this again? Could be worse: The World Football League of the early 1970s could be trying for a comeback -- or worse than *that*, XFL could come back <God help us if *that* happens>.

    Yeah, this'll work.

I see John Jenkins has given up on the All-America Football League getting off the ground.

I remember the league's lawyer in the suit against the NFL: "Kafka, Kafka, Kafka!"

Great to see they made it a priority to hire a Director of USFL Fantasy Football Leagues.

And a Hall of Fame Director...

but if they come back they absolutely have to revive:

PATs from 10 yards out worth 3 pts? Is that by kicking or trying to run/pass into the end zone?

If they put a team in Detroit and it had a winning season they would win the fans over immediately.
