Used to be a Mencia fan, turns out I like other comics

Jim Norton may be my favorite of the current crop... I saw him open for Dice Clay in Vegas a few years ago and he was great...

Louis C.K. is great as long as he's not on a TV show...

I must admit I was a pretty big Mencia fan before I saw that. I thought his Comedy Central show sucks, but his standup is pretty incredible...

Really unfortunate... I have a new respect for Rogan, whose standup is pretty goddamn bad...

Hey, hey, hey. I love Hedberg's stuff, but Pinette's pretty funny too.

Dave Chappelle's not even in the top 10. Lenny Bruce, George Carlin, Bill Hicks, Sam Kinison, Richard Pryor, Eddie Murphy, Chris Rock, Lewis Black, etc.

Oh come on. Richard Pryor said that he passed the torch to him. Here are my favorite comedians:
    1. Chappelle
    2. Mooney
    3. Pryor
    4. Chris Rock
    5. The original kings of comedy
    6. Carlin

So Chuck you rank Carlin behind Cedric the Entertainer, DL Hughley, Bernie Mac and Steve Harvey?

Combined, those four aren't 1/1,000th the comedian Carlin is...

Again, that's just my taste. I love Carlin

Yeah, and Carson's torch was passed to Leno. Doesnt mean he's as good.

Carlin was easily my No. 1 ... until his recent years. He has become so bitter about the world that it's hardly comedy anymore. His latest HBO special was borderline unwatchable.

    Shotty,

Carlin lost his wife to cancer in, I believe, 1997. Since then you could see his comedy becoming increasingly darker. I agree that his latest HBO special was overwhelmingly unfunny. Reminded me of when Henry Rollins would do his spoken word CDs that dealt with his philosophies on life and, on occasion, provided a laugh. And yes, its damn tragic to be comparing George to Henry Fucking Rollins.
