Shit's expensive. My pills, even with insurance, are $35 a month.

    Bastards.

Same price for my wife. She at least got a discount of sorts through Missouri's student health center. Now, she's stuck paying the $35 every month.
    F-ing rediculous.

I don't consider myself a conservative, but why should the government be paying for others' contraception?

If you don't wanna get knocked up, pay for the shot/pills/rubbers yourself.

So you'd prefer the government pay for the kid?

It's a fair question, but no. I believe people should be paying for their own contraception.

If an insurance provider chooses to subsidize it, fine. But it's also jacking up my rates in all likelihood as a result, and I should have the option of finding a cheaper insurer.

In my old job, they paid for Viagra. So, it just made sense to pay for birth control pills, too.

DISCLAIMER: Not that I used the Viagra. I'm muy macho.

    Oh.Dear.God.

The government doesn't have to pay for anything.

The government insurance plan that workers pay into should cover contraception. It's a basic medical service.

Well I'm a masochist, so I have a deeply ingrained aversion to paying for other people's pain medication.

You can prevent pregnancy without using condoms, and that's the big difference.
