You are way, WAY off on your estimation.

  2. Ok, but the point remains. You're writing inside of a bubble.

I love the Rivals and Scout business models. I think they've really added something to the industry - fuck, at least somebody is trying to fucking innovate.

    Job filled from within.

"Filled from within" makes it sound like they actually have an office. That could be the case with this one, but the Scout.com sites I'm familiar with are run out of Johnny-Go-Wolverines' basement.

Yeah, big surprise there. Somebody they can $1000 a month, I'm sure.

It actually was. They moved someone from within the network over to the USC site.

Next time you try to be sarcastic, learn the facts.

How was I trying to be sarcastic? All I said was that all the Scout.com sites I know are run out of someone's basement.

And even by saying that, I'm not dissing the people -- there's some good reporters out there, they just run the site from their house.

Shouldn't it be there are some good reporters?

I'm typing this from my basement.

You better not be lying. God forbid you be sarcastic on this board.

Dan Woike, the football beat writer for the Ole Miss Rivals.com site, announced on that message board this afternoon that he was taking the job.

    Dan's a good guy.

Just because that dream job at BadgerNation.com hasn't opened up yet doesn't mean you have to be so unpleasant toward everyone else who goes this route.
