    Viewing numbers don't lie.

Outside of TN and CT, the market's an inch deep and an inch wide.

It's why the tournament is going back to 16 first-and-second-round sites next season, to utilize more home courts. Some of those games yesterday were played in front of a lot of empty seats.

Some of the NCAA tournament games I saw last Thursday and Friday were played in half-empty arenas, as well.

I was at the Denver subregional Thursday and there were some empty seats in the lower bowl because those seats go to teams playing and many fans don't go if their team isn't playing.
But in the upper reaches, it was packed. And the Denver subregional had the worst collection of teams -- and games -- around.

Yeah ... what did HoopsMcCann do to deserve getting shot on the driveway?

(For the record: bad idea. People will skip the women's games and only go to the men's games.)

I was for MANY years a big fan of the women's game, but even I wouldn't suggest combining the two. C'mon CB. The games are on ESPN and they get conference tourney play, too. Do something with those ratings and THEN we'll talk.

Wouldn't the court be a little crowded with four teams playing at the same time?

God-awful idea that needs to die immediately.
