There's no need for anyone to pull a Wojo and slap the floor to make up for the fact that he was 5'11, couldn't guard anyone and couldn't shoot for shit.

not to re-jack the thread, but couldn't they have done the key lines in such a way that it doesn't look like a big penis? Tell me I'm not the only one seeing that.

You should have seen the pre-1954 style lane.

You always hear that "you can't press in international basketball" (or, for that matter in the NBA), because "international players have seen pressure and know how to handle it."

Oh no they don't. They don't know how to handle THIS. ::) ::)

Oh, I have, but in olden days, they didn't color the perimeter beige and the key a lighter shade. So, it's seriously a big fuckin' dick.

What's the over-under for the first simpering, whimpering column bitching about the U.S. continuing to press, and take 3-point shots, even with a 35+-point lead??

We'll see a few tomorrow. Book it.

    It's a final -- United States 114, Puerto Rico 69.

What can you say? That was a SERIOUS ass beating. Of course, being a cynic, I'm not sure whether to spend time congratulating them for it or wondering how the hell Coach Play the Right Way fucked things up so badly in Athens.

Regardless, very impressive. Guess that "we still stink" first-quarter post might have been a little premature, huh?
