US Air buyout of Delta--thoughts?

As far as Delta's bosses not being interested, at this point it's not up to them. If the investors that are keeping Delta afloat want to do it, there's nothing the board can do to stop it since they have no say.

 

We discussed the case in my acquisitions class today. My professor, who specializes in the airline industry, says there's no way it won't happen now.

But several government agencies and the bankruptcy judge'll all have to approve it. She thinks that won't be too easy.

US Air wants its hands on the Delta gates badly.
