More likely the wife and kids are tired of spending time with him

Weis has a special needs daughter that does well around horses, so they are near the Ocala horse farms. Weis' son is a student at Florida and is involved with the football program, not as a player. Even if he is a douche (never met the man), the move to Gainesville was for a lot of family reasons.

If I'm not mistaken, the son is a graduate assistant.

It's a nit pick thing, but he's not a grad. assistant, which is an actual job / position. He's only a freshman at UF.

Some sort of deal had been previously worked out with Muschamp (while still at Texas) for Jr. to "work with" Muschamp, while completing his degree at UT. When Muschamp headed to UF, that's where Jr. enrolled. It's more of an informal / unpaid "internship" thing.

Yes, Weis is a douche. The kid is well on his way.

Yeah, I checked the roster of coaches and he wasn't listed, but no GAs were.

What the hell is Weis' kid doing for the team? Official Gatorade taster? Escalade parker? Does he proofread Chris Rainey's text messages?

Weis must have been heartsick over leaving the barbecue capital of the world.

No clue, but he had the same "position" at both high schools he attended in SB. Even listed on the hand out roster sheet as "student assistant coach." Of course, those positions were undoubtedly purchased, in one way or another.
