This rig has an emergency shut off valve. Problem is that it's at the bottom of the Gulf right now.

"You're doing a heck of a job, Big Sis."

Obama telling jokes at the White House Correspondents Dinner tomorrow night will be the equivalent of Bush flying over New orleans after Katrina.

    No, no it won't be.

Mainly because this oil slick isn't killing about 1,800 people like Katrina.

Not to make light of the situation, but this brief almost sounds like an Onion story:

Damn I hope that bird's insurance covers oil clean-up.

Today's news that BP has enlisted the counsel of the US Navy and any military branch, plus the counsel of five or six other oil companies, is the best that could be hoped for.
That they can't cap the spew is catastrophic.
Equal already if not far worse eventually than Katrina.

I hereby nominate the Drill Baby, Drill crowd to lend a hand with clean-up. Unless they're too busy eye-fucking people the believe are illegals.

Miami might be in more danger from this oil slick than Naples or Sanibel.

Savage is floating the idea that it wasn't an accident, possibly an act of terrorism.
Not that he has any proof, of course.

Limbaugh said Obama did it to stop the push for more off-shore drilling. Yes, Limbaugh is now an oil-slick truther.

And which wingnut talk show host was joking about how the birds covered with oil taste good? Savage was talking about that. As best I can tell, it was either Beck or Limbaugh.
