Um, what? Current players. Current. On the roster. Starter. Roster players.

And that makes it much easier for the NCAA to gather information, since they can compel any athlete to talk.

A lot harder to get info from players after they graduate since they can't force them to talk.

Where did you see the word transfer in the story?

You know what I didn't see it in the story it was in another article providing some analysis regarding the investigation. Nevermind.

Can you provide a link to that other story? Otherwise, your posts here kinda sound like a fanboi making up excuses.

A current player blasting his head coach anonymously in the paper? Practice on Monday is going to suck hard.

I'm surprised the players came out like this. Under coaches like that, most players are terrified of saying anything of substance to the media.

The voluntary/involuntary stuff is bunk. Everything in life is voluntary. Those guys didn't have to go to summer workouts. The coaching staff can also kick your ass off the team for any reason they see fit.

So you go to summer workouts.

    From the article:

    10 x 6 = 60.

It's very easy to get a story confirmed once that story has appeared in another newspaper or in this case, at least first, on another paper's Web site. That's no great shakes so ESPN shouldn't be bragging about it.
