the squirrel got into my home while i was at a bluegrass festival for five days. it tried eat/claw/whatever its way out of the house at nearly every window -- destroyed several window sills, including the bay window sill in the living room. it was a disaster. destroyed blinds, too, in its effort to exit.

Interesting. I rent, and it's been confined to the non-finished basement, so I've been lucky in that regard so far.

How'd it get in? Through a window? Leave the window open, it'll find its way back out. Squirrels are smart.

Or call animal control. They'll set a trap (non-lethal) and release it outside.

In the meantime, hope they don't have a lightsaber fight in your basement ...

it did not die trying to get out. it was still alive when i returned. i left a door open, and it left.
