    The Ongoing Frustration-slash-Anticipation of the Great American Newborn

    Jacob Quinn entered the world at 1:23 a.m. early this morning, weighing in at 8 pounds, 6 ounces and measuring at 20 inches. No greater feeling in the world than seeing the doctor pull him out and lay him across wife's stomach. No way to describe it.

    He has his mother's chin and mouth and my eyes. What a lovely match.

    Wife was 4 cm at 2 p.m. and by midnight was 10cm complete ... 1 hour and 23 minutes later, we had Jake.

    Murphy has the baby's blanket and his cap. He likes the smell.

    I'm back off to the hospital; just came home to shower and freshen up. I will keep you all posted!

    And we have proof!
    Congrats to the latest little AL and to Murphy's new sibling. However, CI, remember The Omen if Murph seems to be getting a little too protective of the newcomer.

    You know, Hoops, if you don't watch it, you're going to get a reputation around here ...

    CI, best to you, Mrs. CI and JQ. You will find yourself welling up at the top of a hat now, no matter hardened you had become. This will absolutely change you.

    Oh, and put the baseball in his left hand. Now. Do not delay. You can never start too early :)
