My sister, who has three sons, says boys are easier because when they fight, they wrestle or throw a punch or two and then it's over. With girls, they hold grudges and there's a lot more drama.

    Good luck and congrats.

I hope little Mr. or Miss Babar is much more cooperative than my sister's first, who refused to roll over and let the ultrasound pick up his weiner until the final (i.e. emergency) ultrasound about three weeks before he was born.

For the record he's still uncooperative :D

We are in the minority these days and waited to find out until birth with both our kids (both boys). I didn't really care one way or the other, but my wife really wanted to wait to find out. I have to say it added a nice little present to the birth to hear the doctor say what we had.

Boys are definitely rough and tumble and a lot of fun, but I wouldn't worry too much about what it is as long as it is healthy. Congrats and enjoy the experience.

    It's a boy!

It was clear as day on the ultrasound -- one of the pictures they gave us was even of the ... parts. He'll be thrilled to know he was doing porn while still in the womb.

It's funny, even though I kind of wanted a boy, as soon as she said it I thought, "Aw, a little girl would have been fun, too." I suppose I would have thought the same either way.

At least now I can stop calling the baby "it." And we were in way better shape on boy names than girl names.

Look on the bright side Arnold, if you name it Mikey, you won't have to worry about him impregnating any young lady.

we wanted to be surprised with the first, but as typically over-thinking parents, chose to know the genders of nos. 2 and 3 in order to "prepare" the oldest for what was to come.

i wish we'd have kept it a secret until birth. much more fun that way. preparing the oldest and then the older two for what was to come didn't really do much in "preparing" them. either way, their space was being invaded.
