    They don't. They're looking ahead to 2018.

Yeah, but my God, isn't it refreshing to see Dems in power admit wrong and resign?

The Dems could have led by example in the 1990s. And then Gore might have saved the world from GW, AND, the cake topper, HRC could have gotten her turn much earlier and maybe won.

9/11 still would have happened though. Unless Gore did something proactive in the 1998-2001 timeframe.

Amazing how much the world turns on testosterone and naughtiness.

    Now back to Franken.

HRC would have never gotten her turn had the “Dems led by example in the 1990s.”

I can’t even imagine how much I could have gotten you guys talking about me if I didn’t have a busy day today.

My favorite alternative history scenario: If Hillary had divorced Bill in ‘98, she could’ve run in 2000 and won 49 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, four Canadian provinces and New South Wales. #MeToo might’ve happened in 1999, before hashtags were even a thing.

Franken will say he's lost the confidence of his colleagues and constituents and that's why he's resigning.

I think she would have lost to Gore in the 2000 primaries, but if he'd named her VP, she would have been in great position for 2008.

Doesn’t want to be a distraction...

But he’s going to push back against the accusations.

    Sounds almost Nixonian.

I miss the days of Rose Mary Woods and the 18.5 minute gap.

A lot less cantankerous than this day and age.

Is she the most famous secretary in history? Who else would be on the list?

I like Madam Secretary. Tea Leoni.

    Oh, history. Then Secretary Hillary.

I'll try to think of non-cabinet people, but I'm shooting blanks at the moment.
