Wasn't quite sure where else to put this and didn't know if it needs its own thread yet, but...police are searching for the 21-year-old son of Packers' OC Joe Philbin, who was reported missing on Sunday after visiting friends in at UW-Oshkosh over the weekend. The police are also searching the Fox River after receiving a report that a person might have fallen into the icy river on Sunday morning.

As of right now, they are treating the two cases as separate incidents, although Deadspin was kind enough to let people know via a "tipster" that the "part of the river where they body went missing is the perfect place to go for a drunken piss at 2am."

Tragic story. This is 2nd Packer OC who lost a son. Ray Sherman's son was killed when he accidentally shot himself in the head.

I remember that. There was a lot of debate over whether it was an accident or a suicide.

What a terrible story this is. It will be interesting to see if he coaches on Sunday.

Do they have a cause of death?

2:30 a.m. on a Saturday night on a college campus, most likely alcohol induced drowning. And if you didn't drown, hypothermia would set in pretty quickly.

How soon until someone claims to have found some smile face graffiti nearby?

Amazingly strange things happening to assistant coaches in the playoffs. First the Steeler assistant and now this.

The stories I've seen are reporting the guy was convicted in 2009 of sexually assaulting two teenaged girls.
