She looks like a cross between Ellen DeGeneres and one of the Olsen twins.

    SPOLIER ALERT

This movie was decent, thought it would be funnier. I liked that she was married. I didn't take it as the single guy ending up lonely. I took it as the guy who handles the firings and is supposed to read people, badly misread her.

Her classic pre-Up in the Air scene is from Camp, about a theater camp where she semi-poisons a rival to take over the shot at singing "Ladies Who Lunch," much to the dismay of her counselor (who's an alcoholic, washed-up songwriter.)

Don't blame me! I didn't say anything about her marital status.

Kendrick also is terrific in "Rocket Science," about a stuttering boy who joins the debate team. The film is written and directed by Jeffrey Blitz, who also helmed "Spellbound" and has directed about a half-dozen episodes of "The Office."

    Very attractive.

I thought the firing stuff was a little glib and clumsy in spots, and sensitive material, until I read that they used people who have actually been canned in the last year or so and asked them to replicate that emotion.

I liked it. Didn't like the ending, but it wasn't horrible. 3.5/5.

I don't get ga-ga over any movie star or athlete. I'm just not that way.

But hot damn. George Clooney is a movie star in the way God intended movie stars to be.

It's roles like this and Michael Clayton that I love him best.

    Vera? Nice bod.

    SPOILER ALERT!

I thought I was watching 2 movies. I liked the one about Clooney and Kendrick; I hated the one about Clooney and Vera whatshername, especially everything about their relationship (and his life) from the moment they arrived in Wisconsin or wherever he's from. The whole tone around the wedding seemed far-fetched.
