    I understand it's 15 minutes from Tahoe.

    Hey, maybe Martinsville's changing their pitch!

    Good news: they won a bunch of state awards. Bad news: the state press association didn't know where to send them.

    Meat, I don't think it could be Martinsville. I've been told the people there aren't allowed to enter contests.

    This strikes me as some big editor throwing bait out there trying to see if one of his or her own writers will sucker up and apply. Test the loyalty, you know? Let's be careful out there.

    I never understood why they couldn't enter contests. I understood why they couldn't WIN, but not why they couldn't enter.

    This would make for an awkward phone call from the sports editor.

    "Hello, thank you for applying to the Unnamed Gazette."

    "I didn't apply there."

    "Sure you did, you just didn't know it."

    I think the idea was that if somebody won an award they might get a better job and why would the Bullentin want to help them do that?

    This paper ought to have great pro wrestling coverage. Some legendary rasslers have come from Parts Unknown.
