I laughed, literally and out loud, at a portion of this.

I think your source is misinformed. I know a recent hire at the News and that just came on board ... also heard they're trying to fill at least three or four more slots, including a.m.e.

Might want to differentiate between being an Auburn beat writer and working for the paper there. Big difference (although Lori Dann made a nice leap from the OA News to the Advertiser).

RE: Gattis. The Newhouse papers within the state strongly discourage transfers from one to the other. I interviewed in Huntsville one time and asked about it. Basically, you have to have the blessing of almost all the higher-ups.

Woodberry is the Auburn beat writer for the Mobile Register - apologies.

For the record, guy's name is "Woodbery."

I can definitely confirm that needles is not woodbery. Hey, the guy took time out of his incredibly busy summer schedule (1 story a month, right?) to correct some spelling and he gets insulted? Give him a break...
Ok, go back to sucking up to/ripping OTHER f'n studs....

I don't consider it an insult to be mistaken for Evan Woodbery. But I appreciate the clarification nonetheless, Moland.

I don't know needles but I do know Evan. Good guy, good reporter. Not needles.

needles may be both of those two for all I know! I have no reason to believe he isn't. I just know he isn't Evan.

Evan, I hope you're enjoying this moment in the sun. Good times.

Can't beat free advertising. And I believe you were just officially inducted into the effin' stud club. So you've got that going for you.

And to think I worked under an effing stud's tutelage! Amazin'!

For those of us not familiar with Bama, please fill us in.

    1) What's so bad about the overall mindset?

    2) Why is it understandable for Tuscaloosa to get spoonfed everything?
