Union contract coming due? Time to grab ankles.

    Oh, I don't know. I kind of like getting comp days, getting paid OT when I work it, and earning a wage that feels at least somewhat in line with my skills. Didn't always have that stuff when I worked at non-union papers.
    Yeah, there are trade-offs. And a union's not going to prevent the kind of layoffs/buyouts we're seeing all over the place. But I'd much rather be in one than not.
