    Caught that, and interpret it as a big middle finger to an athletic department that refused to bring it back despite the pleas of alumni, players and fans. looked pretty damn sweet too.

    Was nothing compared to the late 70s when the NHL ordered the Leafs to put names on the back of their jerseys. So Harold Ballard responded in kind -- put white names on the back of the white jerseys, blue on blue jerseys....

    Damn, Palko's a kid and the worst he's done is run his mouth a time or two. Give the guy a break. Doesn't strike me as a dumb kid at all. Just a bit lacking in terms controlling his big mouth.

    i did a story on palko this year and the kid was great. i really enjoyed the 15-20 minutes i spent talking to him. maybe it was just me, but i liked him
