When he was sitting in his seat above the the Rockies dugout, he wasn't a media member. He was a fan.

No, he remains a media member unless he quit his job.

Probably didn't pay for his seats, either.

    Wow, there's a leap.

If he were getting free seats, wouldn't they more likely be up in a box or behind home plate? I'd rather be there than behind the dugout.

Back to the issue: KOA allegedly does a news-driven block morning drive, and Tubbs is an anchor on there -- so he has to have some journalism chops. Whether he's strictly an anchor or it's more of a news-talk mix, their Web site didn't seem to answer the question entirely. He also worked for WNYW in New York. And KOA is the Rockies' flagship station.

Given that this is the May ratings book, I'm sure some stunting is involved in this.

Such boorishness. This chump could easily call up the Rockies PR people and tell them he's got the ball. He's trying to make a name for himself off someone else's accomplishment.

Oh, and he didn't pay for the seats:

I'm stunned there has not been reference to a favorite SportsJournalists.com target from SI. Stunned.

Related question. If he is a station employee, sitting in the employers' seats, would the employer be the rightful owner of the ball?

How the fuck does ANYONE know that's the ball.

Not like it was numbered and logged.
