Underrated sports writers

Never thought about that, but you're absolutely right. I love Danny Oneill's work. He's my boy, too. So I'm biased. But there are lots of great reporters on the West Coast.

 

A former editor of mine told me the same thing about someone they poached from Orlando. He said, "After reading his raw copy, I wish we had poached their copy desk and not one of their beat writers."

I wonder if we're talking about the same person...
